🎨In a surprise to no one, Tombolo’s most ambitious shirt creation yet features graceful nudes riding dolphins. 🎨Yawn! 🎨Introducing the second vignette in our @LeSirenuse collaboration: ‘Paolo Sandulli.’ 🎨@paolosandulli is an artist who encapsulates the spirit of the Amalfi Coast with his whimsical works which he makes out of the most stunning studio we’ve ever encountered: a medieval stone watchtower overlooking the Mediterranean. 🎨Sandulli is a longtime friend of Le Sirenuse's owners, the Sersales, so it was the perfect match for our collaboration. 🎨We commissioned a painting by Sandulli that was shipped to New York to be digitally deconstructed and then pieced back together into a carefully engineered shirt design. 🎨The rayon shirt derived from Sandulli's painting and channels the ancient energies of the Italian southern coastline into a joyous and whimsical design. 💦🐬 Woven from the highest quality rayon twill fabric for maximal softness, drape, and color-fastness. Dry clean only. 💦🐬 Made from a commissioned work of art by Paolo Sandulli, scanned in high definition, digitally deconstructed and mapped back onto the pattern pieces of the shirt. 💦🐬 Features nudes riding dolphins that are leaping out of the pockets. The painted frame design from the painting has been adapted into a border along the bottom sweep, sleeves, placket, and collar. 💦🐬 Custom woven collaboration label. Box pleat on back for added ease of movement. 🎨In June, we were given the opportunity to present Paolo with the shirt that we made from his painting at his iconic tower studio. 🎨It was the happy culmination of a creative process that spanned months, mediums and an ocean. 🎨We captured the moment on video (see the blog post on our website), before we were held captive by a rare summer storm. 🎨We hope you enjoy the shirt as much as we enjoyed creating it!🎨
