But for girls, the challenge doesn’t end there. Barriers like gender-based violence, street harassment and child marriage keep them from completing their education. But 13-year-old Aïssatou is determined to finish school and pursue her dream of becoming a doctor. With a Polaroid camera in hand, Aïssatou documents life as she begins secondary school.
