This week’s #TeamTuesday Shout goes to Shivon Shah! Shivon first joined Untitled at The Whitney after graduating from NYU in 2017 and quickly found his stride in hospitality. Under the mentorship of Terry Coughlin, a former Director of Operations at USHG, Shivon went on to join the opening team of Maialino Mare in DC. Shivon credits the continued investment by leadership as his motivation to further his career in hospitality with USHG. After working with his family during Covid, Shivon returned to museum dining as a Service Manager at The Cafes At MoMa and @themodernnyc. He explains that dining at the Cafes at @themuseumofmodernart is different than an average museum cafe, and has as much to do with the food as the people. “There’s thought in everything we do - even during a quick interaction, we do our best to provide everyone with information and attention. We offer every type of service in this one building: there are great drinks, incredible food, and an awesome wine program. But no matter what, the lines of thoughtfulness are apparent in all of it.” Thank you to Shivon for the joy and thoughtfulness that you bring as a colleague and a leader.
