On-the-road, adventuring, learning, and all of the in-betweens. @thetravelingschool: a place-based semester for high school girls that amplifies female voices through transformative education to ignite positive change. UPDATE from the Fall 2022 western US cohort: With a just a month left in the semester, the cohort has paddled the Missouri River in canoes, learned about the politics of public lands; studied trophic cascades, while wolf watching in Yellowstone National Park; canyoneered and backpacked in southern Utah; harvested on a Colorado permaculture farm; and volunteered building a sustainably designed home on Navajo Nation.
