As runners, we all understand the benefits we get from lacing up and getting out there. Whether you’re training towards a race, perhaps one where you are hoping to set a new personal best or to you’re running to create some much-needed headspace, every run seems to have its own magical powers. And when we run with others, the connections we create through running can make the biggest difference. Throughout the 132 pages of the latest edition of Like the Wind – #LtW34 – there are stories about how community makes a difference. In a collection of three stories camerawe join running crews in London, Toronto and Berlin at their high energy cheer zones set up to give marathoners digging in for the tough final kilometres a boost. This issue also showcases some – but by no means all – of the amazing photography that was submitted to our recent photography competition RUN//CLICK. The winning images from three categories are included in a special fold out section alongside many of the commended images and the judges’ comments. The stories told through the moments captured by the photographers are all exceptional. This issue of Like the Wind will be winging its way to readers and subscribers around the world in the next few weeks – if you are not already a subscriber of LtW, this could be the best issue with which to get started. If you are already a subscriber – thank you! We really hope you’ll enjoy this celebration of why we run. Our latest cover shot by 📷 @SethProfet shows @EmoRugene getting showered with confetti and support from his community at the Berlin Marathon cheer zone.
