6️⃣ rules for 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣6️⃣ — here’s why ⬇️ 1. NO NEGATIVE SELF-TALK My close friends know this — I’m brutal to myself. I say things about myself that I’d never say to someone else. My top goal for the new year is to find the self-confidence that others seem to always think I have. The truth is that self-confidence is often missing deep down. 2. MAKE QUICKER DECISIONS Like many of us, I tend to suffer from “paralysis by analysis” — I ruminate on so many decisions...from the small ones to the big ones. I want to evaluate my choices and then make a decision within a pre-determined set of time. Then, be confident with that choice and live with it. 3. MEDITATE EVERYDAY I’ve meditated for many years, often using @headspace. I’ve gone through stretches where I’m incredibly consistent, and other times where I completely fall out of it. I feel immense benefits when I’m in that consistent routine, and I want to find just a little time to meditate each day. I always have 5 minutes! 4. EXERCISE MORE My relationship to exercise has always been inconsistent. I picked at least 4 days per week because I feel like that’s realistic and will lead to exercising more days than not in 2026. I know how important working out and playing sports is for both my physical & mental health. I must make it a priority. 5. BETTER FOOD CHOICES I like good food. I like to eat at restaurants. I like sweets. I can still enjoy those things, but I have to cook at home more. This gets especially tough during baseball season. I don’t need perfection, but I need more consistent good choices in my diet. 6. BETTER BEDTIME ROUTINE I’ve struggled with this my whole life. There’s no one better than me at passing out on the couch and then stumbling to my bedroom in the middle of the night. I want to be intentional about going to sleep. That means properly getting ready for bed, putting my phone in another room, and laying my head on the pillow. #2026goals #newyearsresolution #2026
