All Goy wants for Christmas is to be free from fleas🪳 ❄️ While most will be hoping to spend the holidays snuggled up warm or wishing for a white Christmas, the dogs in Thailand won’t know any different. For them life carries on and rather than worry about staying warm this winter, we have different worries. 🌧️ The rainy season has ended, and this means that the wet weather and the humid temperatures have been the perfect breeding ground for some rather nasty parasites: worms, mosquitoes, fleas, and ticks to name a few. With each on wanted to stow away comes the risk of illness and disease and is one of the many reasons we work so hard on preventative care against these nasty invaders. 🦟 As I am sure you can imagine, treating all 80+ Jai Dogs can be a real struggle each month. Monthly treatment is a vital weapon against nasty parasite-born illnesses (as well as unpleasant itching!) alongside the use of flea collars, special incense burners around the kennels to prevent mosquito attacks and a weekly shower with specialist shampoo, ensuring that any creepy crawlies are stopped in their tracks. 💕Goy was one of the many dogs that our Unsung Hero, P Sumneung has rescued. We treated Goy as quickly as we could to relieve her itching and help her recover from the anaemia the fleas and ticks were causing. We dread to think where she’d be without P Sumneung’s quick actions.
