Hope you like this carne en su jugo (meat in its juices) recipe! been making a lot of caldos lately. Should I make pozole rojo next or transition to mole 👀 let me know! RECIPE - •2.5lbs of chopped carne asada (sirloin) •package of bacon •cebollita heads (as many as you’d like) •banana peppers (as many as you’d like, not necessary) •2 small canned beans (drained) •beef broth •additional water to fill the pot •2 tablespoons of salt for meat •1 tablespoon of black pepper for meat Sauce: •10-12 tomatillos •2 serrano peppers (add more if you want it spicy) •2-4 garlic cloves •1 tablespoon of chicken bouillon •teaspoon of cumin •tablespoon of oregano Follow the video for directions :) I cooked the bacon first, then onion in the bacon fat, and then the banana peppers. I set those to the side and added them back in once the meat browned. once you add the broth and water - taste test and see if it's good on flavor. If it needs more flavor add a bit more of chicken bouillon.
