Oak barrels are an integral part of our winemaking program here at Quails' Gate. From our Chardonnay to Pinot Noir and Old Vines Foch we use a combination of new and used French and American oak. Not only does oak add flavour compounds to our wines, but it also allows for oxygen to integrate with the wine which makes it taste smoother and less acidic.
