A bold new chapter unfolds at the @rubellmuseum as it debuts a sweeping slate of exhibitions for Miami Art Week 2025, headlined by its first-ever single-artist survey. Now open to the public, @thomas_houseago_studio_: First Light takes over the museum’s inaugural seven galleries with more than twenty sculptures and paintings spanning two decades, tracing the artist’s evolution across mediums from plaster to bronze to large-scale collaged canvases. The museum further deepens its commitment to supporting emerging voices with its @knightfdn–backed artist-in-residence, @juanita_leschnit, who unveils six new paintings exploring the material and symbolic complexities of the human body, and a newly commissioned suite of works by @shoga98, whose Korean-influenced landscapes fuse self-portraiture and transformation. The season expands with five solo presentations— @lorenzoamosf, Joseph Geagan, Rita Letendre, Yu Nishimura, and @ser_sera—each occupying their own dedicated room with newly commissioned or rarely seen works that underscore the Rubells’ long-standing investment in nurturing rising talent. Complementing these exhibitions, the museum’s renowned Collection Highlights grow to showcase works by Amoako Boafo, @kerryjamesmarshall_, and Sylvia Snowden, alongside major new acquisitions by Miriam Cahn, @studiolenca, and Sarah Lucas. Visitors can extend their experience at @jonandvinnydelivery Miami, the museum’s celebrated on-site restaurant, as they explore one of the country’s most dynamic contemporary art institutions during its extended Art Week hours.
