2024 vs 2018 (swipe to see how I’ve aged 😂) Being 5 months away from turning 36, I’ve been thinking a lot a lot about beauty standards and beauty expectations and norms in the US vs Other parts of the world like Europe.
I’m debating whether I want to start getting some esthetic help or age gracefully as women used to do. In talking to many of my friends in other parts of the world, I’ve realized it’s more culturally acceptable and the norm in the US to run to the medspa then to embrace age in all its glory.
I'm not necessarily saying it’s good or bad to get some Botox or filler but I can’t help but noticing it’s more of a thing here in the US. So does that mean that youth is more regarded as what’s expected then the graceful aging of skin here in the US OR does it mean that women in the US have more disposable income which allows them to do certain treatments?
Truly curious 🧐
Do you get Botox or Dysport or something similar?
