On the weekends Venice Beach looks like an audiovisual hidden objects picture framed by the ocean. It’s a place of longing with tall skinny palm trees and the promise of year-round sunshine. Around the board walk with its sports facilities, colorful stands – which end just before the amusement Park on Santa Monica Pier starts – musicians, body builders, street performers, pickpockets and tourists unite unlike any other place in LA.
