Tiruvannamalai - I arrived here on the eve of the full moon, this is an auspicious time to come to do the Girivalam- this is a walk around Annamalai hill which is approximately 14kms . I arrived in the heat of the day and was trying to come up with excuses not to do the walk. Then reminding myself it’s NOW! How dare I sit in contemplation in such a beautiful devotional town such as this . My contemplation can happen as I walk . As I walked the circumference. The shrines you visit along the way . The mind leaving it’s thoughts, stories of desires or ambushing the mind falling away as every step taken stories dropping to the hot pavement melting into nothingness burning away. . (BTW I looked like fire while doing this 😊) The incredible people along that walk, the kindness all walking together with a conscious of devotion, of being in a place that thousands have trodden, the divine ones. Us walking through our karma, our desires whatever the process, padding our feet to the heat of the pavement . This walk is done in Barefoot , my feet were not prepared for this but next time I will. There wasn’t any pain the next day I was shocked ! As I said I hope to offer this experience next year . The day after this had many moments of feeling truth love and grace. The energy after doing this lasted all night it wasn’t till a few days later it hit me . As the journey keeps spilling overflowing the heart keeps cracking open wider and wider . 🪷 Sri RamanaMaharishi Ashram 🖤 interestingly the entire experience is fire you are soaked in cleansing- into the opportunity to transforming 🙏🏼
