Extremely grateful for & humbled by our trip to Taiwan with my mentor, Dr. Chang & all of the wonderful doctors we were able to learn from while there. Thank you to China Medical University for hosting us and providing wonderful education (and food). We learned so much in our 10 days there and what stood out to me was their standard of education, quality of herbs and quality of care in their hospitals and clinics. Their doctors also work extremely hard and see around 60-70 patients before noon. One doctor in their stroke center inserted needles so quick, precise & gentle, I’ve truly never seen any work like hers. Their hospitals are bright & welcoming, and are extremely integrated with every department you could think of all in one place. They have herbal pharmacies at their hospitals where patients’ formulations are made; granular formulas are put in a machine that package out each individual dose making it easier for patients to carry and take their herbs. They also have big decoction machines where raw herbs are cooked/made into formulas & also packaged for patients to take home and drink. We learned some techniques (shown above) that have left me excited and inspired to return to learn from Dr. Chou & his doctoral student sometime soon. We also got to site-see in beautiful mountains and eat quite possibly the best meal I’ve ever tasted physically & felt energetically from wild animals and plants we saw on our hike. Taiwanese culture is so beautiful, gentle, peaceful and respectful. It was nice not hearing much English & greeting/being greeted by bowing to one another & saying 你好 nĭ hăo & 谢谢 xièxie, to the point I’ve adopted that & it’s my first thought when I speak here, lol. Thank you to the people of Taiwan for teaching me thru action by their everyday living & for returning me to the natural state of my being🫶🏼 Grateful to my parents and brother, always & for supporting me through this education, all of my life endeavors & for gifting me this trip for graduation. 🧧🎋🧿 {1 of 2 }
