It’s been 10 Years. TEN! I can’t believe it. 10 years ago, I had a similar open heart surgery called a “thymectomy”. This surgery definitely helped my life with Myasthenia Gravis, get a little bit easier to live with. I went from having to take so many different medications, trying to find something that would work for me, to just taking one medication a day. Although I have not yet reached remission, I am truly grateful to have a second chance! I went from feeling helpless, to feeling strong! Don’t get me wrong I still have my days, but I’m able to get through them a lot better now, than I did before the surgery! If you were to tell me 10 years ago what my life would be like today, I’d be in such disbelief! The HELL I went through during this time, I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy! I am forever grateful to you Jesus Christ! I’ll NEVER EVER forget all the tears I’ve cried , all the nights I’ve prayed, and the days I’ve yelled “WHY ME”! Not even realizing, he was right there with me, telling me to hang in there, he was wiping my tears and holding me close. Promising me that better days were ahead. Here I am today, accomplishing goals I never would’ve even IMAGINED being possible for me! Witnessing answered prayers. Looking up to the sky , KNOWING it was all him! He loved me when I didn’t love myself. He was there for me, when I was all alone.
