Growing up, besides my parents I never had any role models that inspired me. There certainly wasn’t anyone in the sporting world that looked like me or was from similar roots who I looked up to. As I’ve matured, I realise how important it is that the communities that we live in have figures that inspire and push us to do something incredible. I’m so proud that @ramlaali is that figure to so many people of all colours and creeds in London and around the world. It’s extremely humbling to know that I’ve played a part in this incredible woman’s career. And that she is inspiring so many people around the world to follow a passion or fight a conflict of their own. Her message to the world is to have courage and be the hero that your younger self needed. I feel she has inspired me to be just that. And something I will continue to do.
