camp eagle summer 2024. long awaited, extremely overdue, causing me a lot of tears!!! how do i talk about one singular summer when this place has shaped me into who i am today the past 3 summers. how do i talk about how i can’t be a summer staffer ever again. how do i talk... about Camp Eagle. i thought about this and i realized i can’t. but Jesus can. because Jesus is what makes Camp Eagle, feel like home. feel like freedom. feel like learning. feel like growing. feel like bonding. feel like grace, love, kindness, and all things good. feel like... Camp Eagle. Jesus is what makes overcoming the 3k feel the way it does. Jesus is what makes the small rappel feel achievable. Jesus is that friend that offered that liquid IV before you passed out bc Rocksprings can’t decide how hot it wants to be on your longest day of camp. Jesus IS. He is. words cannot DESCRIBE how many feelings are being felt, what mountains are being moved, how many tears are being shed (happy ones of course). as much as the people that work there just loveeeee when this crazy louisianian comes strutting through that office, i don’t think they are getting rid of me yet;) thank you Camp Eagle, CE full time staff, and Jesus. most of ALL..
