right around a year ago today we went down to mexico. In Zulu, Vuka means Awaken. Kineta and I wrote this short while I was in a bad depressive episode. At the time it was hard for me to talk to people, to get through most days. Now looking back, this piece was me demanding me to Wake Up, to keep on. It was a gift, genuinely the only reason I would get out of be. To everyone who donated, who even shared the message along. I am floored by how giving, how trusting you all were to our film.
