Well, what an extraordinary visual feast today has been. Moving & beautiful. Jaw dropping pageantry. London looking exquisite. Loved the Archbishop of Canterbury’s speech. Think Prince Harry absolutely should have been able to salute. Loved spotting Queen’s favourite aide, Tall Paul; hard to miss him. Those formidable & slightly mischievous looking elderly ladies-in-waiting. The majestic horses, & their trail of manure. The Nutcracker choreography of the aerial view. That perfect red, everywhere. The bishop dropping the slip of paper in the abbey. And respect to Princess Anne, seemingly inexhaustible, undaunted, protective of her mother to the end, marching among all those men. She’s a trooper isn’t she? (And the royal I’d most like to have over to tea.) Meanwhile, my canine prince Harry has spent a lot of the time grunting - he registers emotional human moments without understanding them, although who knows! And we did hope at one point that the guard whistles would bring forth a pack of rollicking royal corgis... instead two - the best behaved perhaps? - Sandy & Muick, and Emma, the Queen’s favourite 24 year old pony 💔. RIP, Queen Elizabeth II. We will miss you. #queensfuneral #royalfamily #princessanne #london
