Pendance Film Festival in Toronto was a truly special experience. I came home and screened a film to a theater of new and familiar faces. In the crowd were friends of 30, 25, and 20 years. And due to the top notch curation there wasn’t an empty seat in the house. It’s no small feat to sell out a film festival showing short films, on a weekend in Toronto, while competing with the endless live events the city has to offer. Hopefully one day we will come back to screen a feature. Thank you, Toronto. You showed up and it felt fucking awesome.
