Hey everyone, here is a real quick comparison of 3 small diaphragm condenser mics I have in my mic locker. Set up all 3 through my @sounddevices mixpre6ii, no processing and just adjusted the gain so levels matched on the mixpre. Listen with headphones! I honestly can BARELY hear any difference between the 3, except maybeeee the KM184 sounds a tad bit trebly but all 3 sound very nice to my amateur ears. The song is the A section of Maria Cervantes by Noro Morales, me performing it on the Cuban Tres (I need to learn the B section too). I usually use these mics in stereo pairs for chamber music ensembles and have been wanting to compare them as spot mics.
