If you have straight, flat hair like I do.... First thing, get some petals cut with a razor for a little movement when you hand style. Second, stop using shampoo and conditioner. It makes the hair fluffy and even more flat. My hair no longer gets oily and it's pliable to style because I use New Wash. Totally clean but more texture and movement. The last thing is consider using a diffuser instead of a nozzle to blow dry your hair. The diffuser will heat the hair up and encourage bend and movement. The usual blowdryer nozzle will smooth the cuticle and make your hair very flat. I like to use a light texture spray at my roots because I like my head to look less flat on top. Non of us like flat head! Then when it's almost all the way dry, a tiny dab of hair balm on the ends helps to accentuate the petals. The entire thing takes me no more than three minutes and that means I'm having a pretty dressed up day 😂❤️ . If you don't like the flatness on the top of your head, you need crown layers and undressed spray. If your ends are not having a gorgeous separated look, you need razor cut petals and hair balm. You can read all about all of them on my website just click the link in my bio. ✨ . . #jaynematthews #hairstory
