Best known for his work as a founding member of Hot Club Sandwich, a Django-inspired ensemble in Seattle, and a leading acoustic jazz band in the US for more than a decade, Sircely’s musical interests span the worlds of folk and fiddle music, classic blues and country, vintage swing and bluegrass, and music from around the world. - 🎶 Saturday, 5:30-7:30pm - The Twins and “The Easily Persuaded” - Folk 🎶 The Barnes Twins grew up singing harmonies, when their heroes lined the sea of album covers padding their living room baseboards. From “knocking around the zoo” to “cowboy of dreams,”music pulled them through early life’s “hard times”. When they ended up together in the musical womb of Port Townsend, KPTZ (Ruby Fitch) invited them to sing a few tunes on air. A local dobro player (Eric Elliot) heard the harmonies and wanted to be introduced. Then he invited a mandolin player (Aron Uchitelle), and the next week a banjo player (Eric Jorgensen). It’s been years since The Twins and “The Easily Persuaded” have played together, but they’re back to share an earthy mix of roots and covers - from Neil Young to Dan Tyminski - on their favorite family farm. - 🎶 Sunday, 3:00-5:00pm - Anderson Lake Swamp Thing - Alt. Country Blues 🎶 Emerging from blue-green algae blooms within the dense forests of the Olympic Peninsula, Anderson Lake Swamp Thing has been summoned by Tom Waits and the Mississippi Sheiks. Blending old-time fiddle with hill-country blues guitar and bluegrass banjo, this band will get you singing-along and dancing on your feet.
