Negging is when a man deliberately insults you to create insecurity and to level you with his percieved position in life compared to yours. It is done to make you pursue his approval and to make you want to win them over. If a man you have casually met for the first time ever insults you or your physical appearance, it might be confusing, especially if it is not in your nature to vocalize the percieved flaws if those around you. Remenber in that moment that its not your cue to try to prove yourself to them!! Ignore them for the rest of your time in their vicinity or insult them back, and just feel sorry for him.
