Dear @motownmuseum , thank you!🖤 Last month @motownmuseum invited me to be a vendor at their Founder’s Day Celebration. Almost 3 years ago, when I started Drawn to Detroit, I had no idea the people I’d meet or the places it would take me. I definitely didn’t see myself as one of 4 vendors at the Motown Museum, and on such a special day. A day that brought community together. Where people sat in lawn chairs and on blankets in the median of the road just to hear talented poets and vocalists perform. Dance circles made of entire families doing the cha cha slide. You could really feel the heart and soul of Motown and Im so thankful to have been included! So here’s to you, Motown.
