And while rescue operations are still on hold, there are certain cases within our reach that are too hard to ignore... This is Shaun, a 6 month old, shihtzu, who was neglected by his owner. Shaun got sick, eyes became really cloudy and he became really weak so the owner gave him away to their neighbor. The neighbor who is the reporter willfully submitted Shaun for rescue after realizing he was sick and partially blind now because they do not have the means to take care of him :( Upon rescue, Shaun was limping, infested with fleas and ticks and platelets were too low because of erlichia. We were grateful to have been given the opportunity to save him in time. Shaun is now confined and we were both sad and happy to have seen him become so giddy and excited while we were calling his name.
