DO THIS: The annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. parade returns to Downtown Las Vegas on Monday, Jan. 16 starting at 10am. The parade starts at 4th Street between Hoover and Gass Avenues and proceeds northbound. It features a variety of floats along with live performances, music, appearances from political figures and more. ⁠ ⁠ This year’s theme is "Living the Dream – It Starts with Me (Shifting Priorities to Create the Beloved Community.” ⁠ ⁠ The parade is part of local King Week events, including this past Friday’s Martin Luther King Jr. Technology Summit at City Hall. ⁠ ⁠ ROAD CLOSURES:⁠ ⁠ For those heading in that direction, roads in the immediate area will close starting at 6am Monday and reopen at 4pm.
