New Date 10.22.22!!️ @beyondthebadgeny 💙 @pro_fitdeerpark as we continue to break the stigma surrounding ALL law enforcement/Correction officers coming forward for mental health treatment. Each year, there is a growing number of law enforcement officers who die by suicide. At BeyondTheBadgeNY we are trying to Break the stigma surrounding law enforcement officers coming forward for mental health treatment , acknowledge the service and sacrifice of those we lost to suicide, as well as provide assistance to the families in the aftermath. This event is dedicated in memory of NYPD Officer Richard Catapano JR who died by suicide on 8/2/2020 This is a certified 5k Run/walk by @sayvillerunning thanks to a generous donation from @nypdtriathlon @nypdsports ...Additionally @nypdtriathlon has designed our beautiful course as we will be running/Walking through the scenic trails of Massapequa Preserve There is also a kids (10& under) fun run Registration is now open- all registrant will receive a bib, T-Shirt & wristband for the after party! After party will consist of BBQ grilled by Det Chris McGuiness, music, raffles, touch a truck , vendors and more!
