“Seek to be whole, not perfect.” – Oprah __ Black may not be the first color that comes to mind when celebrating love and friendship, but black roses actually symbolize rebirth and new beginnings. Since Last year the relationship I’ve had with Valentine’s Day has changed drastically. I’ve been taken back to a time where all I had was myself and being single wasn’t a foul word. In some ways I’ve been reborn through most of the experiences that have shaped me within this time. I know Ronke more, I value her more, I see her more, I understand her more. I know that mistakes are learning experiences and that healing isn’t linear. I know that I’ll love her when she’s crying and when she’s happy. I know that she’ll always be my best friend and my greatest confidant. Above all else she is LOVE, not perfect but operates from what she truly knows is true to her. I love her not just because she’s me but because by loving her I show other people how to love themselves. If that’s all I do and who I am. I’m successful & fulfilled. Happy Lovers day 💕
