As fitness trainers (juggling a VERY demanding startup), we get asked constantly how we stay in shape. There’s no shortcuts, no gimmicks, no magic fat burning supplements, or perfect workout. This is what we’ve learned both from being in the industry and recovering from disordered eating in our early twenties: 🔹 Food is fuel. Not a reward or punishment. What you eat directly impacts how you feel. So reframe it as “I feel great when I eat this.” Nutrition is 80% of your health (and why we entered the space bc the products we saw sold at gyms were absolute trash) 🔹Do what you enjoy. If you hate an hour of cardio, then don’t do it. @michellerazavi loves incline walking & yoga. @nikkicole.elliott loves cycling & kickboxing. If you love it and can do it consistently, choose that. 🔹Make it social! We met in a Equinox locker room. We teach fitness classes bc we love working out with others. Prefer virtual? Whatever you can do. Even 10 minutes. Even parking the car further away, taking the stairs, going on a walk. It all builds up. Life gets in the way, but exercise is so vital for mental health and we need to prioritize that more than ever.
