Lee Ranaldo art exhibition THE ROAD, LIKE THE RIVER, IS EVER CHANGING AND EVER THE SAME + LIVE PERFORMANCE OF HURRICANE SUBSCRIPTIONS AT THE IKOB IN EUPEN 13.11.2022 Legendary guitarist Lee Ranaldo, co-founder and member of Sonic Youth and also active as a sound, performance and visual artist, will be exhibiting his art at the IKOB in Eupen together with artist Johan Tahon. On show at the IKOB will be some of his recent works from the ongoing Lost Highways series, drawings he creates while traveling. Quick sketches made in the front seat of his tour bus while driving through various landscapes, this work reflects on life as a traveling rock musician, reflecting on the dichotomy between the singularity of spaces and their interchangeability. Ranaldo will also present his new performance Hurricane Subscriptions live, his keyboard-composed interpretation of Hurricane Sandy, for the first time ever in Europe. At 2 PM, Lee Ranaldo will be answering some questions and playing some of his tracks on a special show dedicated to his work on Eupen-based community radio Studio Néau.
