Right Time, Right Place Artist Spotlight: Gelitin @gelitin_official Gelitin is a group of four artists from Vienna, Austria.They met first in 1978 when they all attended a summer camp, since then they are playing and working together. They are known for creating sensational art events in the tradition of Relational Aesthetics, often with a lively sense of humor. Characterized by disparate yet unifying backgrounds, Gelitin perform their practice at the fragile crossroads of humor, spontaneity, childlike naiveté, and blatant sexuality, which has given rise to their over-the-top performances and visually enticing work. Anticipating relational aesthetics, Gelitin plays with audience participation and collaboration as a central tenet of their oeuvre.
