A few weeks ago, at the Opera Garnier, a wonderful reception took place for which I made this 2,10 meter cake. This was surely one of the most beautiful and interesting orders that I have ever had. The cake was created from architectural elements of the Duomo in milan (colums, doors, pilastre, arcades, arches....etc) My team and I made all the molds to recreate the gothical architecture of the Milanese Cathedral. We spent more than 800 hours on this order. 4500 individuals moldings were made and the cake was decorated in addition to 3500 sugar flowers which were arranged in a cascade around the cake and on the sugar staircase the staircase is inspired by that of the Opera Garnier on which the cake itself was placed.
