✨Tips for hiking with a toddler✨ Always my first suggestion is having a @trail.magik for quick breaks, naps or a last resort if you need to rush back to the car. So easy to attach to your bag and carry hands-free without adding much extra weight when they’re walking on their own. Alllllll the snacks, literally if you think you have enough, bring more. PLAY! I used to get very frustrated and impatient with toddler pace, but when you incorporate play into your hiking, it’s more fun for everyone. Currently, we like to put our arms out and run down hill like airplanes 😊 This tip might be counterintuitive, but pick a more challenging trail. When I pick easy or flat trails, my son will often just want to sit to the side of the trail or move at total snail pace. When there is more elevation changes, technical terrain, etc, he is more motivated to keep hiking! Bring friends! I’m not sure if our son is just very extroverted, but he thrives in groups. When we hike with other friends, he covers so much more distance than when we’re alone. Happy hiking! 🏔️🥾🌸 #adventurefamily #coloradohikingmoms #hikecolorado #hikingmama #momswhohike #hikingwithatoddler #hikingadventures #kidswhoexplore #trailmagik #toddlerwearing #hikingwithkids #trailtots #trailmagikkidcarrier #babywearingmama
