Today is Save the Koala Day! 🐨 In February, Koalas were officially listed as endangered in Queensland, New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. Their numbers in the wild are in serious decline due to habitat loss, vehicle strikes, bushfires, dog attacks and disease. There are some amazing organizations working tirelessly to prevent the localized extinction of the Koala which is why I’m so honored to have been able to see up close what the incredible team at @currumbinwildlifehospital are doing to try and ensure a future for this beautiful creature. Not only that but also their hard work & selfless actions will hopefully ensure that future generations are lucky enough to experience our iconic animal in person like we have ❤️ . . #savethekoalas #savethekoala #savethekoaladay
