Chi Town I’ll never have the words, but coming back into the WNBA 6 years & a new degree/ avenue of medicine later has been such a joy. What a journey this season was for all of us, & I’m beyond grateful. There’s truly nothing like spending everyday for 5 months with the same people, working to better your respective crafts within a tight-knit community. This group of women is magnificent, they are phenomenal & my love for them is endless. Thank you for allowing me, for trusting me, and for teaching me so much...for your warm embrace, your open-mindedness, your time & energy, your grit & your passion & your playfulness. You all make me want to be better as a human, and in my work. How amazing it has been, to experience how the W is now- the growth, sold out arenas, chartered flights, expansions, etc. As the wise DD says, the W is like a microcosm of the world & all the different things happening in the world, from race & gender to equality & inclusion, and the list goes on. Within that lies a platform for everyone who is part to step onto. Grateful to be able to do this work, always. LA, I’ll be home at the end of October & I’m looking forward to accepting new patients and expanding my practice. This is a time for me to figure out what I want for myself in the sense of being part of an organization again, or really remaining in the private sector. 🫶🏼🧿
