Waning Crescent Moon at Dawn This is a high dynamic range (HDR) of the waning crescent Moon, captured in the morning of September 19th 2022. I used two cameras, a telescope, and a telephoto lens to obtain this capture. I merged hundreds of images to obtain the crescent Moon disc, then I blended it with 3 additional exposures to get this result. The last slide is a close up at Gassendi Crater, a 110km diameter crater located at the northern edge of Mare Humorum. Gear used: Celestron Edge HD and a ZWO ASI193MC camera for the crescent disc Canon 100-400 IS 2 lens and a Canon 90 D camera for the stars and the glowing background The image is available for print or download on my website.
