Featuring artist and textile designer, Maruch Sántiz Gómez

Through her work, Santiz Gómez explores different aspects of her Tzotzil culture, such as the language, myths, herbal medicine, clothing, food, and the natural landscape of the region she grew up in. Today, she has returned to her hometown of Chamula in Chiapas where she works with native plants to create natural dyes for the wool she harvests for her textiles.
