I was greeted with open arms by my great aunt during my trip to Obuasi. She couldn’t believe that I had come to see my family and she became bright knowing she had finally met me. Through a translation of Twi by my dad she expressed that she is waiting to die as her brothers and sisters have mostly gone. After the visit I really reflected on how she is able to accept that death is close by. I write how I felt meeting her in the prints within her hands.
