People often ask if I regret going into nursing or would choose something different if I could go back in time. And my honest answer is that it’s a career that’s helped me grow a lot as a person. I am an introvert, homebody, and people pleaser that used to avoid difficult conversations. Nursing in a lot of ways asks me to be the kind of person I’m not (by default) and has challenged me in so many ways. But it has also taught me how small acts of kindness can change *everything*. In general I try to live life with no regrets— and I’m forever thankful that every choice led me to exactly where I am. Some things come so naturally and other things (like waking up early) never really get easier.
