Nikki @thenikkinolan and I will have our two-person show opening today from 5-7p at Your Mood Gallery @yourmoodgallery . Hidden inside an industrial warehouse area, I was blown away by Selby @selbysohn and Your Mood the first time we met in person. Witty, underground, edgy but also elegant, that kind of space I would imagine made for and made by cool artists free of social norms and rigid systems. ​ ​ Since last fall, I started to push my work to interact with the whole space and the viewers involved within it rather than the piece itself. Each time I get a chance to experiment, I try to push myself closer to the edge. This time I am super glad that I got to test my idea not only as a documentation but in real-time and in-person. ​ ​ This dream team has been a great pleasure to work with. Help each other by paying attention to the details one overlooked. Help each other by being patient and working with each other until one finally felt settled. We will have art, a cake, artist books, performance, cool people, and interesting conversations. Couldn't imagine it better. Couldn't be happier.
