At this year’s Venice Film Festival, Riccardo Ghilardi will have an exhibition of his portrait work held at the Hotel Excelsior Lido Venezia. The show entitled ‘Three Minutes’ is a culmination of the many years that Riccardo has attended the festival photographing the vast array of cinematic talent who come to the Biennale to celebrate film-making. ‘I won’t ever forget the first time I set foot in this place, camera in hand loaded with film....The incredible Sala Degli Stucchi, La Corte Moresca garden, terraces on the sea, the dockyard for arrivals, beautiful hotel rooms and long corridors where the light filters through from the side. Every angle of this magical place holds a memory, story and anecdote tied to the seventh art and you can feel this incredible energy in the air.
