What is a Move-a-Thon?
The Move-a-Thon is a fun, school-wide event where students raise funds by moving—walking, running, dancing, skipping, or any other active way! It promotes health, school spirit, and community while supporting important PTA initiatives.
What will the funds support?
All money raised will go directly to PTA programs, including classroom supplies, enrichment activities, teacher support, and special school events.
Can parents/families participate?
Yes! Families are welcome to cheer, volunteer, or even join in the moving. It’s a community celebration, and we’d love your support.
What should students wear?
Students should wear comfortable clothing and sneakers. School spirit wear is encouraged! Please also send students with a water bottle. Students will receive a custom Move-a-thon T-shirt for participating and a running bib to decorate!
What happens if it rains?
The event will move indoors to the gym/cafeteria. The fun will go on—rain or shine!
Are there prizes or incentives?
Yes! Students will have the chance to earn fun prizes for participation and fundraising milestones.
What if we’re out of town during the event?
No problem. You can still collect and submit donations ahead of time, and your student will still be recognized for their fundraising efforts and will receive the prizes they earned!
Are donations tax-deductible?
Yes! Donations are fully tax-deductible. The PTA is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and receipts are available upon request.
