Girona was a surprise and one of our favorite places on our vacation. It’s the only location I actually looked into real estate. Girona is about 45 minutes from Barcelona and if you were a fan of Game of Thrones, parts of it were filmed here. It has an amazing old quarter with shops and cafes, ancient winding streets all within a walkable medieval city. Too much history to put in a post but the Arab Baths were built in 1194 and the Palanques Vermelles Bridge was built in 1827 by Gustave Eiffel just before he built the Eiffel Tower. And then there are the beaches in Palamos....... The best Sangria I had on the trip🍷
