You are invited to join us this Saturday November 26th for the third annual ‘Community Bowls & Soup Share’. This is truly a community effort with FREE soup being prepared by the Castle restaurant and sponsored by the nonprofit Roots of Resilience Project (@roots.of.resilience.project). It will be available, first come first served, with the optional add-on of bread sticks locally baked by Crusty Crumb. Community members will also have an opportunity to take home a beautiful locally-made ceramic bowl with a $30 donation to Port Townsend Sunrise Rotary Club to support Olympic Neighbors, the Goosefoot Food access project, the Longhouse for the People project and a S’Klallam community project. Community members will be able to select their bowl from a varied selection handcrafted by local potters @LaughingGnomePottery, @CenterValleyPottery, @MillbrookClayworks and @JaidenDokkenArt. Potters are donating time and effort to produce these bowls and the Port Townsend Sunrise Rotary is staffing the Community Bowls tables with volunteers, located on the Cider Garden patio. All are invited to access a free bowl of delicious soup in-person at the Cider Garden starting Saturday 11/26 at noon, while supplies last! Throughout the weekend, the community is further invited to take a self-guided Gratitude Walk that leads folks on a trail of thoughtful and inspiring quotations through the Finnriver Orchard.
