Super yummy and super easy way to enjoy #NationalDumplingDay. 🥟😋 These Chinese Bao dumplings are made with premade pizza dough, freshly ground pork, and topped with lots and lots of @hotcrispyoil chili oil 🌶️ Original Recipe 👉 @dragon_and_herpearl Ingredients: Hot Crispy Chili Oil, as desired 1 lb. Stater Bros. Markets ground pork 3-4 inch piece of fresh ginger, 1 inch minced, 2-3 inches sliced 1 bunch of green onion, chopped 2 garlic cloves, finely minced 1 egg 2 premade pizza doughs (in a refrigerated can) 2 tbsp. light soy sauce 1 tsp. ground white pepper 1tbsp. sesame oil 1tbsp. oyster sauce 2 tbsp. avocado oil Sesame Seeds, to taste Salt, to taste Directions: Add 2 roughly chopped green onions and a the 2-3 inch sliced ginger to a heat safe bowl, add 1/2 cup of hot water, and steep until cooled to room temperature. In a large bowl, place ground pork and stir in the strained ginger/green onion mixture slowly until fully absorbed. Heat 1 tbsp. of avocado oil in a pan, until hot and set aside. Add the soy sauce, white pepper, oyster sauce, sesame oil, egg, and salt to the ground pork and mix until it's a sticky consistency. Add in half of the remaining green onions, minced ginger, and garlic. Before mixing in the last ingredients, add hot oil to on top and allow it to sizzle. Set aside for a few minutes to cool down before mixing. Unwrap the premade pizza dough and cut into 8 equal sized squares. Roll the square flat to increase the surface area, place 1/8 cup of the pork mixture and seal by pinching inward in a circular motion. Finish wrapping all the bao and set aside. In a large non-stick pan, heat 1 tbsp. of avocado oil over medium heat, place half of the Bao and pan sear until crispy on the bottom. Add in a 1/2 inch of water to the pot and cover immediately. Allow to steam in the closed-lid pot for 8-10 for the pork to cook completely. Repeat the process until all are cooked.
