Out of all my ideas, creating the “Miguel Wilson Grooms Lounge,” is one of my best and favorite. It’s when we bring the groom and the groomsmen in to do the fittings. We offer cocktails to everyone, and then we have our “Roast and Toast” of the groom. I’ve had these for guys from every part of the world, but the message is always the same. Brothers telling each other, I’m proud of you and I love you, is the repeating sentiment week after week. I’m sharing this in hopes of showing the world, Black men are just like everyone else! We love our women, children and each other. Too often the picture painted about us is far from my reality. We have feelings and emotions, just like everyone else. I can honestly say, We all have a purpose. This is mine, and I thank God for it! To all the grooms that have ever worn our clothes, thank you. I pray God grants you a special blessing for doing so.
