I had a week to kill in Europe before I’d go to Croatia, and it hit me that as much as I’ve traveled in my life it’s always been for something and for or with someone, but never by myself—for myself. And as much as I’m still grateful for every trip and still choose to go, what I’ve always wanted to do was go to an airport and choose the cheapest ticket somewhere. Anywhere destiny, the universe, intuition, what have you, led me. I found myself at the Barcelona train station with only trains headed to different parts of Spain, so I went to the airport and found a cheap last hour ticket to Bristol/Bath, UK. 🇬🇧 It. Was.
