In August I got to have a nose around Milan’s modernist Villa Borsani and discover the many gorgeous craft-led homewares at the heart of @__abask__ - the new online selling platform from MatchesFashion founder @tom.w.chapman and @nicolaspickaerts. In this weekend’s @fthtsi design special there’s a taster of what’s being launched later this month - from @lobmeyr glasses by @martinogamper (pic 1) to @savedny blankets (pic 4) and the @werkstaette_carlauboeck brass foot (pic 3). I’m also coveting a stripy, undulating Venini Fazzoletto (handkerchief) vase, matte-black Mexican ceramic plates by @perlavaltierra and embroidered Florentine napkins... “We want to share the great makers out there that people haven’t heard of,” says Chapman.
