On view now, “Reveries: The Art of Hung Liu” celebrates the life and work of the prominent Chinese American artist (1948–2021).
Liu’s large-scale, emotionally charged, figurative artworks were profoundly influenced by a childhood growing up under the Maoist regime. Through paintings and mixed-media works, she expresses the history, beauty, and dignity of the Chinese people through the lens of political and social upheaval.
Visit the exhibition in Gallery 28, near the HoMA Café and find more info at the link in bio.
